Kolamaavu Kokila is a dark comedy that released worldwide today. The film is directed by Nelson, and has Nayanthara in the lead role. Yogi Babu, Jacqueline and Saranya Ponvannan have played crucial roles in this film produced by Lyca Productions. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director while Sivakumar Vijayan handles the cinematography department.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who is a close friend of Nelson, Nayanthara and Anirudh took to Twitter to write about the film. Sivakarthikeyan is currently waiting for the release of his next film Seemaraja, directed by Ponram. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, the film has Samantha and Soori playing important roles. D. Imman has composed the music and the songs were released in a grand function in Madurai. The rural flick is all set to release on September 13.
