Irumbuthirai is a thriller movie with a social message that had Vishal in the lead role, whie Samantha played the female lead. Arjun Sarja, under whom Vishal started his film career, played the villain. It was directed by PS Mithran.

The director's next film is with Sivakarthikeyan, and he has revealed that the film will also be a thriller with a social message. It is rumoured that the music director is Yuvan Shankar Raja, while Ruben of Mersal fame is the editor, however sources close to us have informed that nothing is official yet. The team is in talks with both the technicians. 

Irumbuthirai was a super hit film in at the box office, an it ran for more than 100 days. A few days back, vishal had conducted a success meet, where he felicitated all the cast, crew and technicians.
