India’s last crowned prince and Zamindar Murugadoss Theerthapathy was residing in Singampatti, a small Palayam near Tirunelveli. He passed away yesterday.
Murugadoss Theerthapathy was the 31st crowned king in the Singampatti Zamin. His ancestral history goes back to over 1200 years and he marks the last King to be crowned in Singampatti and was still living the king's life, with the villagers having so much love and respect for the man.
Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Seema Raja’ was inspired and based on the life of Murugadoss Theerthapathy. He was also present during the audio launch of the movie, which happened in the year 2018.
Aged 89, Murugadoss Theerthapathy passed away in his residence yesterday. His death has come as a shocker to his villagers and relatives. May his soul Rest in Peace.
