It is now official that Simran will be playing Superstar Rajinikanth's pair in Karthik Subbaraj's untitled film produced by Sun Pictures. 

The production house officially confirmed the news via Twitter - "We are happy to announce that for the first time, @SimranbaggaOffc will be acting with Superstar Rajini in #SuperstarWithSunPictures"

It must be noted that Simran was supposed to act in Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi but due to some personal reasons she had to opt out of the project and later Jyothika replaced Simran.
