Following her tweets, actor turned politician Seeman had questioned the authenticity of her accusations. He also says that Chinmayi might be a member of the BJP because she targets only Vairamuthu.
Responding to them, actor Siddharth has tweeted in support of the singer. He said: "#Seeman says #Chinmayi should have spoken up earlier. She is smiling with #Vairamuthu in her wedding. Dear Seeman, women raped by their own fathers and fathers in law are seen smiling with them in public for years. It's called power!Puriyala? Vekka kedu!"
