Maamanithan started its shooting on 14th December 2018, and now the shoot has been wrapped up within 60 days. The movie stars Gayathrie of Puriyaadha Pudhir fame paired alongside Vijay Sethupathi. It has music by Isaignani Ilayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. Sreekar Prasad has handled the cuts, and the movie is produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja under his banner YSR films.
