Ace filmmaker Shankar and Kamal Haasan have re-united together after 23 long years for their sequel, Indian 2 in which the actor will be seen playing the lead role. The film has Anirudh composing the music while Subaskaran is producing the film under the banner Lyca productions.
The film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Aishwarya Rajesh, Vidyut Jammwal and Siddharth. Indian 2 will have Rathnavelu handling the cinematography, and Sreekar Prasad heading the edit department. The film is expected to go on floors on August 12th 2019.
While it was recently reported that Kajal Aggarwal who is busy preparing for her role learning the Kerala Martial Arts Form, Kalaripayattu (the oldest form of martial art) for the movie, she is expected to begin her shoot for her portions in November. The film is expected to release on the eve of Tamil New Year, April 14, 2021.
Meanwhile, reports were doing rounds that National Award winner, Bobby Simha is a part of this film. Reports suggest that the actor will be seen essaying the role of a villain in this upcoming biggie. However, an official update on this is awaited. Stay tuned for more updates.
