Reports were circulating earlier that Vikram Vedha will be produced by Shahrukh Khan in Bollywood through his Red Chillies Entertainment. To clarify this, the producers Y Not Studios have denied it strongly that they haven't sold the remake rights of the film to anyone as of now and tweeted, "We have not sold the remake rights of VikramVedha in any language. We have plans of producing it ourselves. Official announcement soon. Tx"

It is also to be noted that Y Not Studios have produced Saala Khadoos and Shubh Mangal Savdhan recently in Hindi.
