Anand Balki, director of Santhanam's yet-to-be released comedy film Server Sundaram recently took to Twitter to vent his feelings on why the film was unable to get a theatrical release.
In a series of cryptic tweets, Balki explains why the film is yet to get a release. The director blamed the distributors of the film for their amateurish approach shown towards the release of the film.
He tweeted, "For all the fans who is asking why #serversundaram not released here we go..bad buyers amateur approach on release unwanted people involving responsible people wash their hands no one is ready to help this films release NOBODY... techies and fans keep asking when release. Irony"
In another tweet, Balki had also hinted at the possibility of releasing the film directly on OTT platforms, much like the release of Jyothika's forthcoming legal drama Ponmagal Vandhal directed by JJ Fredrick, which will be released directly on Amazon Prime.
Also starring Vaibhavi Shandilya, Radha Ravi in important roles, Server Sundaram also marks the acting debut of Bijesh, the grandson of comedy legend Nagesh. The film is bankrolled by Kenanya Films.
