It was widely reported that there will be a big announcement at 7 pm today, concerning to Kollywood and the Christmas weekend.

Now it has been revealed that the announcement is about the theatrical release date of Santhanam's Sakka Podu Podu Raja. The film will be hitting the screens on December 22, for the Christmas weekend. Santhanam announced this through his tweet, "Happy to announce #SakkaPoduPoduRaja to be released worldwide on Dec 22nd #SPPRFromDec22nd more announcement coming up #AnSTRMusical #TridentArts release @vtv_productions @vtvganeshoff @I_am_Vaibhavi @Actor_Vivek @rajnarayanan11".

The music of the film, composed by STR, is expected to be launched by the first week of December. Directed by G.L.Sethuraman, the film also stars Vivek, VTV Ganesh and Vaibhavi Shandilya in important roles.
