Actor Santhanam’s latest Sakka Podu Podu Raja released alongside Sivakarthikeyan’s Velaikkaran. While addressing the media in a press meet, he was asked to choose the best among Velaikkaran and Sakka Podu Podu Raja. Here's what Santhanam said in reply:
 

“For everyone, their movie is the best. There is no competition because both Velaikkaran and Sakka Podu Podu Raja are of two different genres. I am not here to compare and contrast and I think it is just two films that have come out at the same time.”
 

On continuing as a hero and not returning to playing full-fledged comedy roles, he said, “Yes, I will continue acting as the hero and I will try my best to give what the audience love.”
