Actor Santhanam got injured after engaging in a brawl with a builder who was supposed to construct a shopping complex for the OKOK actor in Kunrathur. According to reports, Santhanam had contracted a one Mr. Shanmugasundaram to build a complex and reportedly gave him an advance for the same. But due to some reason, the agreement got cancelled and Santhanam wanted his money back.

The builder ostensibly delayed return of the advance amount, and when Santhanam had gone to meet Shanmugasundaram regarding this, they apparently began arguing which later developed into a severe fistfight. Both Santhanam and the builder got injured and had to receive medical care. Reportedly, both Santhanam and the builder have filed cases against each other following this incident.
