Key executives are leaving Makkal Needhi Maiam one by one. The party didn’t even win one seat in the recently concluded assembly elections. Its leader Kamal Haasan, who contested from the Coimbatore South constituency, lost to BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan, albeit by a slender margin.
The rest of the candidates couldn’t put up a good show in the rest of the constituencies.
Post the election results, people are leaving the party one by one. The party's deputy leader, Dr. Mahendran, resigned first. Kamal then issued a statement claiming that the former was a traitor. The latest to leave were former IAS officer Santosh Babu and Padmapriya, who resigned yesterday.
Sanam Shetty took to Twitter and posted –

In another tweet, she said –

Sanam Shetty was seen on Bigg Boss Season 4 and developed a bond with Kamal Haasan despite the limited time they shared.
