Actress Samantha is currently awaiting the release of 2 of her films- Seemaraja and U-Turn. Coincidentally, both the films are set to clash at the box office. After receiving the green signal from the producer's council, the makers of U-Turn have decided to release the film on September 13. 

U-Turn, directed by Pawan Kumar, is a remake of the director's Kannada film of the same name. The Kannada version had Shraddha Srinath of Vikram Vedha and Ivan Thanthiran fame in the lead, and opened to critical acclaim. The film also stars Aadhi Pinnisetty, Rahul Ravindran and Bhumika playing important roles. 

Meanwhile, Seemaraja, produced by 24AM Studios R.D Raja, is also releasing on the same date. The film sees Samantha opposite Sivakarthikeyan for the first time. It is directed by Ponram, and has Soori playing a crucial role.
