'Enjoy Enjaami', an Independent Tamil song released by Music Composer Santosh Narayanan has created a massive impact all over the world. The head-turning number sung by Singer Dhee and Rapper Arivu is made as a rap-cum-oppari song. The song has clocked more than 276 million views on YouTube and more than 15 million streams on Spotify.
Produced by AR Rahman’s Majja productions, the story is on Valliamma, Arivu's grandmother and several other labourers who were oppressed and exploited.
Arivu took to social media to share a sad news that oppari Singer Bakiyamma who made an appearance in his 'Enjoy Enjaami' song, passed away. Writing a heartwrenching note, Arivu said, "Bakiyamma. You have sung your heart out for so many lost lives. Now I am at loss for words for your untimely loss. Artist may die but her art will remain in our hearts forever. You are such an inspiration for me. We are grateful for your powerful performance at #roots #opparishow #therukural #vaanam #margaliyilmakkalisai and #enjoyenjaami. Rest in power."
Recently, on World Music Day, DJ Snake remixed the super hit song and added an EDM twist to it. The remixed version, which soon went viral, got featured on Timesquare Billboard, becoming the first-ever Tamil Independent song to achieve such a feat.
