Robo Shankar has gone to the Commissioner's office this morning to give a complaint on the fake Twitter handle that is being used in his name. After giving the complaint to the Commissioner, Robo Shankar met the press and explained the issue.
He said, "Recently, there was a derogatory post about journalists in a Twitter handle that had my name. I want to clarify that I have no connection with that profile. I have already told this before, many times, but still, I wanted to clarify once again. My original profile had only 5,000 followers, while the fake profile had five lakh followers. I have already faced this issue for more than five times, like during the Jallikattu issue and other scenarios.
And very recently, the profile posted tweets on the Bigg Boss contestants - Vaiko controversy row, for which I faced a very big problem. That's why, now, I have given a written complaint against that fake profile. I have also mentioned in my complaint that I have no connection with that profile or with any of the tweets.
As of now, I am not on Twitter. I lost my phone two days back. If I come back to Twitter, I will verify my profile with a blue tick, and only then I will become active. Till then, I have decided not to be on Twitter. @iamrobosankar is my official handle, and this fake id's username was @Imrobosankar (cap 'I'). I didn't want this issue to grow bigger and that is why I came here."
