Popular director and cinematographer KV Anand died of a heart attack this morning (April 30) at a private hospital in Chennai. Many film personalities including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are mourning his death.
Kajal Aggarwal Kitchlu, who worked with the director in Suriya's Maatraan, has shared her condolence message: "Such a distinguished man of impeccable character, brilliant skill and a vision like no other. So privileged to have worked and known you Kv sir. You shall always live on through your legendary work. KV Anand began his career in films as a cinematographer with his debut being Thenmavin Kombath in Malayalam and later turned to direction. Kana Kanden was his first directorial venture. KV Anand's last outing was 'Kaappaan' with Suriya, Arya, and Sayesshaa in the lead roles. The film was bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
