An FIR was registered against actor Rhea Chakraborty under various sections including abetment of suicide yesterday based on a complaint from Sushant Singh Rajput's father, KK Singh. In his complaint, Sushant's father has accused Rhea of conspiracy, taking money from him and abetting Rajput's suicide.
Now, it has been reported that a petition has been filed by Rhea Chakraborty in the Supreme Court, seeking transfer of investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput's death to Mumbai. This was relayed by Satish Maneshinde, Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer.
Sushant's family's lawyer Vikas Singh, meanwhile, has also explained as to why the family took its time in getting an FIR registered. "An FIR has been registered now as the family was in shock and the Mumbai Police wasn't registering an FIR, but forcing them to give names of big production houses and get them involved. It (the investigation) was heading in a different direction," he was quoted as saying.
