While it is a known fact that Rajini was a bus conducter before Balachander gave him a new lease of life, here is an unknown story. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the villain of Petta, revealed in a show that he used to sell Dhaniya, when he was struggling in life. 

While promoting his upcoming film Thackeray, directed by Abhijit Panse, slated for a release on 25th January, he revealed this. It is indeed humble beginnings like these that keeps stars like Rajinikanth and Nawazuddin grounded.

Petta has been doing extremely well at the box office, and Nawazuddin's portrayal of Singaar Singh received a great response, even if the screen time was less.
