Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta is gearing up for its theatrical release for Pongal 2019 and the audience are eagerly awaiting to catch the film on the big screen.
Petta recently completed its censor formalities and was given an 'U/A' certificate. The official censor report is now out that reveals the film's runtime and the cut list details.
This Karthik Subbaraj directorial will have a runtime of 171 minutes (2 hours 51 minutes). As for the cut list, no scenes are cut, however, there will be a slight trim of the gun shot visual in a fight sequence. Also, the makers have been asked to darken the bloodstain shot in the film that is show during an action episode. Apart from these, the cuss words will be muted.
2 hours 51 minutes seems to be a longer runtime, but at the same time, given the expectation of the film, the audience would be excited to catch the charismatic Superstar for a longer screentime. With an ensemble star cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran and Trisha, the runtime looks justifying.
