The multi-faceted Raghava Lawrence was last seen in the film Kanchana 3 alongside Oviya, Vedhika, and Nikki Tamboli. He had directed the film himself, and also produced the film in association with Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures. The film had a supporting cast comprising of Kovai Sarala, Soori, Sriman, Devadarshini and others.
Lawrence had marked his debut in Bollywood with the official remake of his Kanchana which was titled as Laxxmi Bomb. The film features Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The film is produced by Shabina Khan and Tusshar Kapoor under the banner, Cape of Good Films, Tushar Entertainment House and Shabina Entertainment. It was scheduled for a 2020 release.
However, the director had stepped out of the project due to no proper respect given to him, and the producers allegedly released the poster without informing him. After which, the producers had flown to Chennai to meet him and sorted out the issue. He also met Akshay Kumar in Mumbai recently. The actor has taken to his social media and shared the happy news. He wrote -
“Hi dear Friends and Fans..!
