After Taramani received critical acclaim, director Ram's next film Peranbu's release is eagerly awaited. The film stars Malayalam star Mammootty, Anjali, and Sadana, the child artiste from Thanga Meengal.

The world premiere of Peranbu happened at the Rotterdam Film Festival on January 27 and director Ram attended the screening along with producer PL Thenappan and his close friend and producer J Satish Kumar. After the screening of the film, producer JSK took to Twitter to express his immense delight and pride.

He tweeted, "Just watched #Peranbu world premiere today at Rotterdam film festival  Tears rolling sir it's a crown in indian cinema bold attempt hats off @Director_Ram @plthenappan happy iam also a small part in this great film", and "#peranbu  @mammukka steals entire show wow no words @sadana swipes her role @Director_Ram and crew got a great applause after screening".
