If there wasn’t any nationwide lockdown due to the rapidly increasing Coronavirus, some biggies would have released while several others would have been gearing up for its big release.
But everything took a sudden change when the government announced the complete lockdown which also included the shutdown of theatres. Recently, amidst all the chaos, Irrfan Khan’s Angrezi Medium had hit the digital media much before than expected.
And this step, however forced the fans to fear that the same would happen to other films and rumours were rife that Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh’s ’83 would also be directly released on the digital platform.
Putting the rumours to end, in an exclusive chat with a leading portal, Reliance Entertainment Group CEO, Shibasish Sarkar confirmed, “As per the situation right now, we foresee that even if the normalcy takes another 3-6 months of time, we are mentally clear that we want to give both the films a proper theatrical release.” Fans are also waiting for Thalapathy Vijay’s Master and Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru to release on the big screens soon after the Coronavirus fever subsides down!
