Top star Prashanth is back in action with a crime thriller Johnny, co-starring Sanchita Shetty, Prabhu, Shayaji Shinde, Anand Raj, Ashutosh Rana, and others.
Directed by debutant Vetri Selvan, the film is produced by Prashanth's father and actor Thiagarajan. This is the official remake of the Hindi film Johnny Gaddaar, that had Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead role.
Speaking to Behindwoods about the film and his career in general, he also played a fun game with the anchor. In one of the tasks, he asked the anchor if he was a virgin, on a funny note.
Prashanth also spoke about the relationship he shares with Simran. He said: "Simran and I have a beautiful friendhship. We share a good bond that whenever we meet on the sets, we speak as if we spoke only 2 days back.
In the sets, when I don't perform well, she gives a feedback, and vice versa. Even during dancing, if someone makes a mistake, we both motivate each other for another take.
Once, she was about to quit acting, but my father called her back, and she completed the shoot of a film. After that she hit the peak. And, once the shoot of the film is done, we don't talk to each other. She gets busy with her films, and I'll also be busy with mine. Whenever we meet, we again talk really well."
