Popular Tamil Actor-Comedian Vivekh passed away on April 17, 2021 after he suffered a cardiac arrest. His sudden death, which came as a shock to people in the film industry as well as for fans, left a permanent void in their hearts. As an avid environmentalist he carried the motto of planting one crore trees to fulfil the dream of former President APJ Abdul Kalam.
Comedians and actors from the Kollywood industry came together in order to celebrate his life, film career and comedy. A new promo on Vijay TV showed actors-comedians and serial actors like Harathi and Ganesh, Aranthangi Nisha, Nandhini, Director Vasanth and Erode Mahesh fondly recollecting their time working with him.
Actor Harish Kalyan, who's currently involved with multiple projects, was also seen in one of the promos, singing the song 'Kanne Kalaimane' from Kamal Haasan's 1982 movie 'Moondram Pirai'.
Actor Vivekh was introduced by K Balachander into the Tamil film industry. While he played small roles in the 80s and 90s, he slowly climbed the ladder and reached heights with his comical sense and witty one-liners in movies like Kushi, Minnale, Alaipayuthey, Mugavaree, Dum Dum Dum, Sivaji and many other films. He also tackled social issues like female infanticide, superstitions, myths and rituals in several films. He has over 200 films to his name and had acted with among all the top stars including Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith and Madhavan.
The show is set to air on Vijay TV on August 29, Sunday at 3 pm. Meanwhile, Vivekh's last series 'LOL: Enga Siri Paapom' will premiere on Amazon Prime Video from August 27.
