Actor Bala Singh made his debut into the film industry with malayalam movie 'Malamukalile Deivam in 1983. His Kollywood debut happened with the critically acclaimed 'Avatharam' in 1995.
Avatharam was a strong and powerful entry for the actor as he portrayed the antagonist in the movie, which also incidentally marked the directorial debut of Nassar who also played the role of the lead in the movie along with Revathi.
From then, Bala Singh went on to star in Tamil films like Indian, Dheena, Kannathil Muthamittal, Saamy, Virumaandi, Pudhupettai, Madrasapattinam, Jigarthanda and NGK among more. The actor also has Tamil TV shows like Soolam, Rudhraveenai, Nalla Neram and Aathira to his credit. His latest release was Santhakumar directed Magamuni featuring Arya in the lead role.
Bala Singh was hospitalized at Vijaya Hospital yesterday due to food poisoning and today morning at 1 AM, the actor passed away unfortunately. It has been reported that the body will be taken to his Virugambakkam residence by 10 AM today, and by evening, it will be shifted to Nagarkoil.
