In a shocking news that is doing rounds in the social media, it is learnt that the Bengaluru Police on Wednesday (September 29) arrested Nigerian actor Chekwume Malvin who has worked in several Indian movies on charges of drug peddling.
The police personnel seized around 15 grams of MDMA (commonly called ecstasy or molly), 250 ml of hashish oil, mobile phones, Rs 2,500 cash and drugs worth Rs 8 lakhs from the accused.
For the unversed, Chekuwame Malvin apart from 'Singam 2' has also acted in Kamal Haasan's 'Viswaroopam' and a few other films like Anna Bond, Dilwale, Jamboo Savari, Paramathma to name a few.
Apart from Nigerian films, he has also featured in Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada movies. It is said that Malvin was in India with a medical visa and had undergone a 2-month training at the New York Film Academy in Mumbai.
