Paltan is an upcoming film that is based on the clashes between India and China along the Nathu La and Cho La pass, alongside the border of the Himalayan Kingdom of Sikkim. The clashes started in September 1967 and took place frequently till the end of that year. According to independent sources, the Indian forces achieved decisive tactical advantage and defeated the Chinese forces in these clashes.
The film is based on this incident that is unknown to many. The movie has Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Esha Gupta and other stars. It is written and directed by JP Dutta. The music is composed by Anu Malik. This venture is bankrolled by Zee Studios and J P Films. It is slated for a release on September 7.
