Director and screenwriter Sudhir Mishra works predominantly in the Hindi film industry. The filmmaker has helmed several acclaimed features such as Iss Raat Ko Subah Nahin, Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi, Yeh Saali Zindagi and was also the screenwriter of the cult dark comedy Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron.
Mishra has won three National Film Awards for his work for films such as Yeh Woh Manzil To Nahin, Main Zinda Hoon and Dharavi, and is also the recipient of the French artistic honour Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
Sudhir Mishra's father Dr. Devendranath Mishra passed away on the morning of April 2. A mathematician and an academic, Sudhir tweeted that his father has donned many responsibilities, and was a boy from Lucknow.
