Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin's recent release, the Mysskin directorial Psycho, has won rave reviews among fans and audiences. Co-starring Nithya Menen, Ram, Aditi Rao Hyadri, Singam Puli in central roles, Psycho released on January 24.
With favourable reviews aside, Psycho has been courting criticism regarding the absence of CCTV cameras in the film's setting. Regarding that, Udhayanidhi Stalin posted a message in his official Twitter account as a response to that.
The post carried a screenshot of a Whatsapp message which read "For all those who are questioning the absence of CCTV cameras in Psycho. The film was made during a period when Ramkumar bit an electrical wire, when the robbery of Kodanad estate happened and when (former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu) Jayalalithaa was admitted in hospital. Since Psycho was set in that time, there is no possibility of CCTV cameras existing in the film."
With cinematography by Tanveer Mir and Ilayaraja composing the music, Psycho is produced by Arun Mozhi Manickam under the banner Double Meaning Productions.
