Multiplexes in Hyderabad have now made it official that all packed food items will only be sold at Maximum Retail Price (MRP) in multiplex food courts and single screen theatre canteens in the city. it is ensured that this rule will strongly be effective from August 1st onwards. It is noted that currently, the packed foods are being sold at a high price, 200 percent more than the MRP mentioned in the product. Being one of the most selling points for multiplexes, the prices are hiked more than usual which brought in a notice for a price regulation.

It is now stated that food items will not be sold in 'Small, Medium, Large' category but the weight of the food will be mentioned from July 25th and from August 1st, the prices will be mentioned.
