Minister of Home Affairs, Kishan Reddy has said that theatres will be uniformly opened across India and states can’t have specific rules on re-opening. This comes as even various state governments have been lifting restrictions vis-a-vis shooting amidst precautionary measures. He said these via a tele-con.
He added that the Centre was keen on permitting theatres to function soon and was also serious about curbing piracy. Reddy also promised his help in constructing cine studios and permitting shootings anywhere in the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, by convincing the Chief Ministers of different States.
He also said that he’s looking to meet representatives from the south and Hindi film industries in a separate meeting to discuss issues. The Minister also addressed the migrant situation and said utmost help has been done for their welfare.
