Mohanlal is one of India’s most versatile actors who predominantly works in Malayalam movies. Having an exemplary experience of working in over 300 movies, he has donned many roles for his movies - as actor, producer, playback singer, and distributor. He is also about to turn director with Barroz movie.
He has had quite an impressive run with many ups and down throughout his career starting from Manjil Virinja Pookkal (1980) in which he played a villain till the latest Big Brother. His first movie was Thiranottam in 1978 which released only later. He has displayed impressive performances across languages Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil films.
The actor celebrates his 60th birthday today. In an exclusive interview conducted by Behindwoods on this special day, Mohanlal has shared some interesting details. Speaking about his special day, he mentioned that these conditions are not a time to one’s birthday into a celebration and hence nothing much has been planned.
Talking about his debut directorial venture Barroz, the actor replied that it was actually supposed to start as of now, but due to the lockdown, many of the artists who are from Spain and Portugal couldn’t fly down and hence the movie hasn’t materialized yet. In case everything clears, the project may pick up by the end of this year 2020 or by start of the next 2021.
Mohanlal spoke about his Vishwashanthi foundation (named after his father Vishwanathan and mother Shanthakumari) and all the good deeds and charity work that has been conducted today. Incidentally, today Vishwashanthi foundation donated PPE Kits to hospitals run by Mumbai Municipal corporation in order to fight COVID19.
