Mithun Chakraborty is very popular among the fans for his dance and action scenes. He was an influential hero in Hindi cinema in the 80s and 90s. Apart from Hindi, he has acted in various languages including Bengali and Oriya.

Mithun Chakraborty recently fainted during the filming of a project - The Kashmir Files. The film crew administered him first aid. He is said to have fainted due to food poisoning.
He then rested for a while, saying that the shooting should not be interrupted and wanted to resume the same. But, the director stopped shooting for a day and started it the next day. Mithun's dedication has come in for much praise.
