The Nadigar Sangam elections took place today at the St. Ebbas Girls School at Mylapore, and the voting has come to an end today. The election was announced yesterday, after the Madras High Court ruled the case in favour of Vishal's Pandavar Ani.

Actors like Vijay, Kamal Haasan, Suriya, and others came to the booth to cast their votes, and a total of 1604 votes were cast at the booth. The postal votes are yet to be added to this number.

Actor Mirchi Shiva of Tamizh Padam, and Tamizh Padam 2 fame also cast his vote. While speaking to the press outside the election booth, he replied to the questions with his trademark humour sense. He said:

"It is nice to see you all support this election wholeheartedly. As you can see, there is no hard feeling between both the parties involved. Right now, each of them have been behaving like brothers and sisters. This election is more like an election inside the family."

When one of the reporters asked who he voted for, he replied in typical Dhoni fashion, asking the reporter to come forward. However, that didn't happen, and Shiva replied saying: "It is illegal to reveal who we voted for in National elections, the same applies here too."

If the reporter had come forward, we could have seen a repeat of Dhoni's iconic press conference where he calls a reporter upfront to give a strong reply. Stay tuned for more updates! Watch the video below:
