All the while, it was expected that Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal would be a solo release for the Diwali festival, but here comes one interesting new addition to the Diwali race.
 

Karthik Subbaraj's debut production film, Meyaadha Maan, starring Vaibhav, Priya Bhavani Shankar, under Rathna Kumar's direction is all set to hit the screens for Diwali on the 18th of October. The film was earlier scheduled to release on November 17th, but now the team have advanced the release date, by a month.

The official new poster of Meyaadha Maan, which indicates the Diwali release says, "Mersal aana kaalai varudhunga, kudave, thulli maanum varudhunga!"

There is also a speculation about Sasikumar's Kodi Veeran releasing for Diwali, but let us have to wait for an official confirmation. For now, there will be 2 Diwali releases.
