Reasons being attributed to these mind-blogging collections despite theatres operating at 50 per cent occupancy are:
- Extra shows to all screens, be it multiplex or single screens.
- Majority of the theatres across TN played Master.
- No big releases in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam & Kannada and Master was released pan India.
- No big opposition, Eeswaran released on January 14.
- People coming to theatres has increased, compared to November Deepavali releases due to big star pull.
