After the massive success of 'Soorarai Pottru', directed by Sudha Kongara, which was released on Amazon Prime Video last year, Suriya's next along with three other biggies are set to skip theatres and take the OTT route. Suriya, who's currently working on 'Jai Bhim', a courtroom drama, reportedly based on a real-life incident, has also been given an OTT release date later this year, much to the surprise of fans who were eagerly waiting for the movie to release on big screens.
Suriya took to social media to announce: "Four beautiful stories will be told every month starting September! Need all your wishes and support! Stay Safe!!". He also released the first look poster of four upcoming movies - which are produced by him and his wife Jyotika under their production house 2D Entertainment - along with the month of the release. All the four movies are releasing on Amazon Prime Video over the next four months.
'Jai Bhim', directed by Gnanavel is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on November 2021; 'Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum' starring Ramya Pandian, Vani Bhojan and Murugan Vadivel and Directed by Arisil Moorthy is slated to release on September 2021; 'Udan Pirappe' starring Sasikumar and Jyotika in lead roles and directed by Era. Saravanan is coming out on October 2021 and 'Oh My Dog' starring Arun Vijay and his son Aarnav Vijay, directed by Sarov Shanmugam releases on Decemeber 2021.
All the four stories has varied genres and has surely excited fans. Meanwhile, Suriya is awaiting the release of the short titled 'Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru' directed by Gautham Menon in the nine-part Netflix anthology 'Navarasa'. He also has 'Vaadivaasal' directed by Vetrimaaran and 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' directed by Pandiraj in his kitty. The title and first look of his upcoming movie was unveiled on July 22.
