Maragadha Nanayam is emerging to be a sleeper hit with people thronging the theatre and shows being increased for the film. It features Aadhi and Nikki Galrani as the leads with an array of supporting cast.
An interesting feature about the film is Nikki Galrani’s voice. She does not speak in the normal feminine voice and the man who had dubbed for her is actor Kaali Venkat. People who had seen the film would understand what we are saying.
We talked to director Saravan and he was quite happy with the response the film is receiving. He opens about Kaali Venkat’s voice for Nikki Galrani. “The idea to have a masculine voice for Nikki was arrived at the scripting stage itself. But we were wondering about the apt voice for her as we were keen to have a 'karakara' voice. Kaali Venkat is a good friend of mine and I wanted to have him in the cast, but due to date issues, I could not bring him in. All the same, I brought him on board in a different capacity as the voice for Nikki and my decision has been proved right with the audience’s response.”
That was definitely an out-of-the-box idea and we applaud the director and his team for that.
