MANI RATNAM’S HEROINE GIVES A NOSTALGIC THROWBACK!

Ace filmmaker, Mani Ratnam is well-known for discovering many new talents. Two decades ago, he came up with an amazing character named Shaila Banu (Manisha Koirala) for his 1995 hit film Bombay that also starred Arvind Swami in the lead which went on to become everyone’s favourite.

Manisha Koirala was last seen on screen as Nargis in Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic, Sanju which featured Ranbir Kapoor along with an ensemble cast which featured Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza as Manyata Dutt, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Jim Sarbh in the lead. The movie did wonders at the box office.

The actress had made her Tamil debut with Bombay and taking to her social media she uploaded a throwback video from her Tamil debut film which is sure to make one nostalgic. Sharing the famous Kannalane song sung by K.S.Chithra and AR Rahman from the film, she also revealed that this was her all-time fav film.

She wrote, “My all-time fav #film#Bombay by genius #maniratnam sir and music by maestro @arrahmanand of course fabulous Dop @dirrajivmenon blessed to get opportunity to work with such a brilliant team !! And how can I not mention my fav co-star #arwindswamy .. he is someone I can rely on blindly such a gem!!!”
