Popular Telugu star Mahesh Babu's Sarileru Neekevvaru released today, on the 11th of January. Helmed by Director Anil Ravipudi, this movie features the superstar in the role of an army officer, who is paired with Rashmika Mandanna.

Produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under the banner AK Entertainments in association with G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, Sarileru Neekevvaru features music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film also features “Lady Amitabh” Vijayashanthi’s comeback after a decade.

On the technical front, Sarileru Neekevvaru is shot by ace cinematographer R. Rathnavelu, who had previously shot films such as Endhiran and Rangasthalam, while Tammiraju handles the cuts. The film has been receiving positive responses from the audience and critics alike. Incidentally, in an exclusive interview to Behindwoods, the actor has reminisced about the time which he spent in Tamil Nadu.

Mahesh Babu recalled his school and college days, when he studied with Surya, Karthi, Yuvan Shankar Raja, and how he spent his college days at Loyola. The actor mentioned how he wanted a normal childhood, and did not want anyone to know at school that he was the son of a Telugu Superstar. Talking about his rise to stardom, he remarked he was incredibly thankful that he had the chance of acting in good powerful scripts at a very young age. When asked about when he would venture to Tamil cinema, the actor mentioned that he is definitely awaiting calls from directors for the same. Watch the full interview here!
