Mahesh Babu and AR Murugadoss’ Spyder trailer released a few hours ago. The trailer seems to be a packed commercial film with Murugadoss’ touch that covers a conflict. However, unlike in most of his films that deal with a social issue, Spyder seems to be based on a straight psycho killer played by SJ Suryah. In fact, a particular dialogue in the trailer reveals his motive. SJ Suryah claims that he is here to kill people and reduce the alarmingly high population.

The racy trailer has the stylish Mahesh Babu deliver crisp dialogues and he looks at his usual sharp best. In fact, Mahesh Babu’s rendition of Tamil dialogues seems attractive. Frames by Santosh Sivan are commendable and add value to the trailer. The entire trailer has a blue tone enhanced. There is nothing to complain about the edits and Sreekar Prasad has delivered the best for this Spyder trailer.

The romance portions between Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preet Singh don't seem very natural and does not really create an added interest to the film’s theme. Harris Jayaraj’s background score is just about alright and Peter Hein’s stunts could be something to watch out for.

The biggest positive of the trailer is SJ Suryah as the antagonist. The seasoned actor seems to be rightly cast opposite Mahesh Babu and shines with his look and dialogue delivery that creates a hype for the conflict in the film. Actor Bharath is also seen in the trailer and it looks like his role also has some interesting negative shades. On the whole, it looks like audiences are in for a packaged commercial film which would attract watchers with Murugadoss’s screenplay.
