Days after Yo Yo Honey Singh's wife Shalini Talwar accused him of assault, domestic and mental abuse and having illicit relationships, the 'Lungi Dance' singer has responded to the allegations by saying that he's deeply pained and distressed by the "false and malicious" allegations levelled against him and his family. "The accusations are severely odious," he said.
Alleging physical, mental and emotional abuse at the hands of her husband, Shalini - who filed a case against the rapper and singer - claimed that Singh had become “extremely arrogant, abusive, harsh and uncaring” to the her following their marriage in 2011. Shalini also mentioned in her application that Honey Singh got addicted to alcohol and drugs, and had illicit relationships with multiple women.
Hridesh Singh aka Yo Yo Honey Singh shared that he has never released a statement even before, but this time he is compelled to do so as his parents and sister have been dragged into the matter.
Refuting all the allegations made against him by his wife, he wrote, "I have full faith in the judicial system of this country, and I am confident that the truth will be out soon.” He added, “I am confident that justice will be served, and honesty will win.”
