Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the lead and directed by Vignesh ShivN was one of the top commercial films in 2016. There were rumours spreading across the internet that the film was being remade in Telugu, with Raj Tarun in the lead.

However, the young actor has clarified that he is not a part of any remake and the pre production work for his next film has started. The news, therefore is false.
