Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar recently complained of breathing difficulties and was admitted to the Breach Candy hospital on November 11.
Known to be one of the most prolific and highly respected playback singers of Indian music, Lata Mangeshkar has sung over twenty languages, cutting across various film industries of the country. The vocalist is also a recipient of the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Dadasaheb Phalke award and India's highest honour, Bharat Ratna award.
According to Mumbai-based media reports, the 90-year-old singer was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit wing of Breach Candy hospital and was diagnosed for chest infection. Lata Mangeshkar has been discharged from the hospital and is currently recovering at her residence.
