After coming across a picture of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a Hindu god (obviously photoshopped), actress and director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan is miffed with the communal turn, a person has sought to give the picture, which has been posted on Facebook.
She reacted as thus: “I felt this picture will give a wrong message to the people, he is the PM of our secular country, not just an individual, people irrespective of caste or creed need to have faith in him. Especially in these hard times, we need a true leader, a true leader is always secular. The central govt should not allow people to post such pics which give wrong messages to the people.
I have been to the BJP office in Chennai and found that there were many many Muslims who were taking an active role in the party activities, I was actually surprised and also felt that we are being misinformed many times. I reacted to it because I felt it was my duty, towards my Muslim and Christian brothers and sisters. My way of life is Hinduism and my friend, philosopher and guide is Hanuman! I say Jai Sriram even in sleep, but I also say INSHAH ALLAH and draw the cross with the same love, I truly believe it is one and the same."
She also tweeted about the same and said,
