With two consecutive hit films in his kitty, Karthi is currently on cloud 9. His cop-film Theeran: Adhigaaram Ondru was a super hit at the box-office while it also succeeded critically. He neatly followed it up with Kadaikutty Singam, the successful family drama. 

His next film, Karthi 17 - tentatively titled as Dev has Rakul Preet in the lead role and is being helmed by a debutant, Rajath. Though the title has not been officially announced, we have often seen the cast and crew themselves referring to it as Dev. 

The shooting for Dev is almost completed and pre-production works are said to be underway. Now, our sources have hinted to us that the team has fixed December 21 as the release date. It will be the Christmas extended weekend for Dev and team. 

An official announcement on this from Prince Picture, the producers is expected very soon along with the title. Stay tuned for further updates.
