Chennai: The new details of Kamal Haasan's next film have been released.
Vikram, currently starring Kamal Haasan, is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram, Kaithi and Master. The film also stars actors Vijay Sethupathi and Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil. Kalidas Jayaram plays Kamal Haasan's son.
Girish Gangadharan who won the National Award for his film 'Jallikattu', will be handling the cinematography. Anirudh composes the music. A preview of the film was released on the eve of Kamal Haasan's birthday and was well received. Sony Music has acquired the audio rights to Vikram's film.
Kamal Haasan has announced that Vikram will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi as a pan-Indian film on June 3.
According to reports, Kamal Haasan will be teaming up with director Muthiah for his next. The film is set to be based on a commercial setting in an entirely rural setting.
Already Kamal has won millions of hearts with his roles in Virumandi and Thevar Magan against the village background. Muthiah is also famous for his style of films based on rural setup. Especially Devarattam, Komban, Marudhu, Kutti Puli films are super hits amongst the fans.
