Following the sad demise of senior journalist and political critic Gnani, actor Kamal Haasan has expressed his grief by way of a post on his Twitter space, which read:

"திரு. ஞாநியின் மரணத்திற்கு என் ஆழ்ந்த அனுதாபங்கள். அவர் செய்த உடல்தானம் போற்றுதலுக்குரியது. அவர் தானத்திற்கு சடங்குகள் தடையாகாமல் அனுமதித்த குடும்பத்தாரை  சிரம் தாழ்த்தி வணங்குகிறேன்"

Roughly translated, the tweet mourned Gnani's passing, and commended his noble donation of his own body. Kamal also bowed down, praised the late journalist's family for facilitating the donation and not allowing customs get in the way.
