On the event of his 63rd birthday, actor Kamal Haasan is currently meeting with the public to make various announcements and talk about his political plans.

As a part of this, he has announced the launch of a hashtag 'maiamwhistle', as well as an app in the same name. The app is said to feature a platform called Whistle, an e-vigil tool which will serve as an outlet for whisteblowers and the general public to register any complaints or information about issues in the society.
